: There is a beta method for those determined to use Lyriki as a plugin using windows media players. It's not pretty, it's not easy, but it does work work. See LyrikiOnWindows Rough Guide for more.  This method is not going to be supported in depth, and there is currently no support with it.

Before contributing to Lyriki, please create an account.  This helps tremendously in communication, since it's very hard to know who's behind an IP address (especially considering dynamic IP addresses and proxies.)  If you have an account at least we have an idea of 'you' that we can address tips and corrections to.  We appreciate every contribution; however, this just makes it easier to help people learn from their mistakes if they have an account and choose to view their talk page from time to time when it's edited.

You can follow the Quickstart guide to add a song quickly.

For lyrics, this is best done by listening to the song repeatedly and transcribing the words the best you canDon't worry if you make mistakes; someone else that likes the song will probably come along and offer a correction or two, and eventually the community should be able to come to a consensus as to what the proper lyrics are.

What can I do at Lyriki?

New here?

Feel like helping out?

How should I do those things?

Before contributing, you must create an account. Next, please look at the help section, specifically the pages on adding new songs, albums and artists. These pages contain templates that should be used when entering lyrics or other information. This gives pages a consistant look and feel, and ensures that all the information shows up properly in the indexes.

Contributing lyrics should be done by listening to the song and transcribing the words as best you can. Don't worry about making mistakes; someone else will offer corrections, and eventually the community should be able to come to a consensus as to what the proper lyrics are.

To contribute artist or album information, you should either transcribe the information from your own CDs or gather the information from various websites, such as Wikipedia, All Music Guide, MusicBrainz or even Amazon.com.
